ITANAGAR, Sep 22: The Directorate of Women and Child Development organized an online webinar today which was attended by Minister, WCD Alo Libang, and Advisor to the Minister, Dasanglu Pul. Commissioner Niharika Rai (IAS), and Special Secretary, Bhanu Prabha (IAS), addressed the participants who had joined from all across the state.

The webinar was in the context of the ongoing 4thRashtiya Poshan Maah celebration, which is being celebrated all across Arunachal Pradesh from September 1-30 next to celebrate “Converging towards a healthy walk through life” under Poshan Abhiyaan.  The webinar was conducted in convergence with various departments to leverage on the existing related schemes to achieve nutritional goals.

Resource persons delved into various topics covering health and hygience, menstrual hygiene management, tribal diet and its balancing components among others.

Director, WCD TP Loyi, mentioned that the Poshan Maah celebration is planned around four major themes— 1st week, dedicated to plantation activity in form of poshan vatika, 2nd week, dedicated to Yoga and Ayush for Nutrition, 3rd week, planned around awareness and focus on locally available nutritious food and finally in the 4th week, drive for identification of SAM and for promoting convergent action among all the partner departments is planned.

The webinar was attended by all the Deputy Directors and CDPOs of all the ICDS projects in the state, SNO - POSHAN Abhiyaan with his SPMU (PA) team. Live streaming on YouTube was attended by all the Supervisors, Gram Sevikas, Anganwadi Workers and Anganwadi helpers of 6225 Anganwadi Centers in Arunachal Pradesh.
