ITANAGAR, Aug 12: The Department of Women and Child Development convened an Interactive meeting –cum- Sensitisation Programme with the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (APSCPCR) and the Labour and Employment Department here at Itanagar today.
The APSCPCR and Labour Dept was sensitised about the various child related schemes implemented by the WCD department namely Child Protection Services Scheme, National Creche Scheme, Anganwadi Services, Poshan Abhiyan, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, and Scheme for Adolescent Girls.
Issues relating to child rights violation and strengthening of delivery structures for providing better services to vulnerable children were also discussed in the meeting.
While lauding the initiative of the WCD, Deptt, Gumri Ringu, Chairperson APSCPCR requested the Labour and Employment department also to conduct such interactive and sensitisation programmes with all stakeholders relating to child protection for better coordination.
The programme was also attended by Members of the Commision, Yahung Tekseng and Ngurang Achung, Member Secretary, Khoda Rakhi, Director WCD, TP Loyi, Asst. Director, Labour and Employment Dept, Ozing Rukbo and CDPO headquarters, Kago Asha Lod and DK Thungon.
