Itanagar, Sep 24:  Due to breakdown of vertical pumps at Jack well, the 7 MLD water supply facility feeding Itanagar from the Senki View water treatment plant on Thursday morning, normal water supply will be hit in the capital.
EE PHE & WS Division has informed that normal supply in sectors and colonies will be regulated and water will be provided on alternate days and there will be no supply in the following sectors on September 26 (Saturday): Under RK Mission section: Type-V Vivek Vihar area, Vivek Vihar, H-sector, DNG College, Polytechnic area, Police Colony, F&G sector, G-sector, RKM complex, Chandranagar, Donyi Colony, Ganga Market and F- sector. Under Gohpur section the areas to remain without water are- Gohpur Bazaar area, Economics & Statistics area, BN Chimpu, VKV complex, Forest colony, Gohpur and Central school area, WRD colony Chimpu, Khatting Hill (ITBP) PHQ, GSI Colony, SRPL colony, Lor Putung and Dokoso area. Accordingly, other areas and sectors will be provided water on the next day and the process will continue till complete restoration of pumps.
While requesting the capital denizens to bear with the inconvenience, the EE has informed that departmental water tankers shall be pressed into service in areas without water supply. DIPRO
