Khonsa, Sep 3:  Night Chowkidar Bawang Aboh and his colleague who saved the FCI godown at Deomali from the attack of a rampaging elephant were rewarded for their bravery by Tirap Deputy Commissioner Bhanu Prabha with an amount of Rs 5000 and a commendation certificate here in her office chamber on Thursday.
On the night of August 26 last the duo saved foodgrains worth Rs 4-5 lakh by driving out the wild elephant. Felicitating the brave watchmen, DC urged all government employees to get inspired from the valiant deed. DF & CSO N. Songthing was also present on the occasion. DIPRO
