PASIGHAT, Jun 26:   The East Siang District Students’ Union (ESDSU) which had called upon Home Minister Kumar Waii on Friday last at his Itanagar residence seeking home department’s adequate measures for early arrest of all involved in killing of late Ojing Taying, has expressed satisfaction over Waii’s strong commitment.

The team also met Pasighat West MLA cum PS Agri & Fisheris, Er. Tatung Jamoh and Pasighat East MLA cum PS Disaster Management, Kaling Moyong for pursuing the matter to nab the attackers of late Taying.

Late Ojing Taying was brutally attacked by some unidentified youths in Itanagar on June 10 last and  was later rushed to Guwahati for treatment but succumbed to injuries reportedly due to brain haemorrhage. Late Taying was a resident of Ngorlung village and was serving as Finance Secretary of East Siang District Students Union when he died.

When contacted Investigating Officer SI Randhir Jha of Itanagar PS today, told this reporter that the Call Detail Record of girlfriend of late Ojing’s friend Ojong Aje who was teased by the miscreants is being investigated. The officer further said that investigation is in full swing and all out effort is on to nab the attackers.
