ITANAGAR, Jun 5: The Vivekananda Kendriya Vidyalaya-Itanagar emerged as the winner of the inter-school quiz competition organized here at the science center, IG Park on Monday to mark the World Environment Day-2023 celebration.
The quiz competition was organized by Youth Mission for Clean River, Arunachal Pradesh Science Centre, and Abralow Memorial Multipurpose Society with the support of Itanagar Smart City Development Corporation Limited. The event witnessed participation from six schools located in different parts of the capital complex.
Each team was composed of three students from the 9th to the 10th standard. The students were asked questions on various subjects like social science, Arunachal biodiversity, culture, general knowledge, and polity.
The winning team and all the participants were felicitated with certificates along with prizes.
Speaking on the occasion, Youth Mission for Clean River Chairman, S.D. Loda raised concern about the rapid depletion of rivers and forests due to urbanization.
He advised the students to grow up as responsible citizens by committing to protecting the environment for future generations.
