NAHARLAGUN, Jun 1: Vivekananda Kendra Ignited Youth Forum, Itanagar unit today distributed essential stationery items for examination purposes to the 149 students of Government College Doimukh at their doorsteps who are residing in various locations between Naharlugun and Doimukh.
This distribution drive was conducted keeping in mind that lots of students were facing difficulties to arrange the basic stationery items required for their semester examinations scheduled to commence from June 3 onwards due to closure of bookstalls. The stationery kits distributed comprised A4 sheets, pens (blue/black) with refills, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, envelopes for packing answer sheets and sanitizers. Inheriting the ideology of Swami Vivekananda, “They Alone Live, who lives for other”, the members of the Vivekananda Kendra fraternity, well-wishers, friends and volunteers contributed for arranging the stationery kits for the students.
Ek Bharat Vijayi Bharat, a year-long interactive programme was initiated last year to commemorate the 50th year celebration of Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Kanyakumari. But unfortunately due to COVID-19 pandemic, VK couldn’t reach out to a maximum number of people. As a token of love, portraits of the Vivekananda Rock Memorial Kanyakumari were also presented to every student.
