Changlang, Dec 14: The Changlang district administration today urged residents to abide by the law and come forward for talks after receiving inputs that a rally has been planned in Vijoynagar circle by the All Yobin Students Union on December 15.
Section 144 CrPC has been imposed in Vijoynagar Circle banning public gathering of 5 persons or more after violence broke out on Friday over participation of former Assam Rifles settlers in the upcoming Panchayat elections.
We have received input from local sources that a rally is planned in Vijoynagar circle by All Yobin Students Union on 15th December.
We appeal to all community leaders to let peace prevail and youth should abide by law and Government orders, Deputy Commissioner Devansh Yadav said in a statement today.
All issues can be resolved by talks and discussions and district administration will protect interest of all our citizens. Those who indulged in violence will be dealt with as per Government Rules and law. We once again appeal to all youths and public leaders to abide by Government orders and Covid restrictions.
