BORDUMSA, Jul 16: The Covid -19 Vigilance Committee-Bordumsa has submitted a nine-point memorandum to the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Changlang suggesting a set of precautionary measures over and above the current ones in battling the pandemic in the district.
Chairman of the committee, Samlop Bo informed that the suggestions included immediate installation of check posts in all the entry and exit points of Bordumsa to ensure proper checking of all people irrespective of whether they are inhabitants of the Circle or other parts of the state or country. All the check points must have laser testing equipment facilities and all the shopkeepers of Bordumsa township must essentially have thermal scanners, the suggestions included.
Further, the committee’s Adviser Gumshowang Laganag sought compulsory sanitization of the Bordumsa Circle market twice a week and of vehicles coming from other states or districts. The committee has also suggested suspension of home/parlour-based liquor selling and other contraband substances and observance of SOPs by the tea estate owners while transporting labourers through vehicles.
“The daily movement of taxis/vehicles to Assam without proper PPE by the drivers must be stopped with immediate effect,” the Adviser demanded.
