ITANAGAR, Oct 8: Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu arrived here on Friday on a three-day visit to Arunachal Pradesh.
This is his maiden visit to the frontier state.
A special Indian Air Force aircraft carrying the Vice-President landed at the Raj Bhavan helipad, where he was accorded a warm and traditional welcome by state Governor Brig (Retd) Dr B D Mishra, Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, Speaker Pasang Dorjee Sona and others.
"Arunachal is blessed by visit of Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri @MVenkaiahNaidu Ji. Accorded warm welcome to Hon’ble Vice President this morning at Raj Bhawan helipad along with Hon Guv @BrigMishra Ji, Speaker @pasang_sona Ji, DCM @ChownaMeinBJP Ji and other dignitaries,” Khandu tweeted.
The Vice-President will address the special session of the State Legislative Assembly on Saturday. He will also inaugurate the Assembly library, Dorjee Khandu Auditorium and the paper recycling unit set up at the Assembly complex.
