AALO, Jul 24: District Veterinary and Animal Husbandry department, Shi-Yomi organised a demonstration cum awareness programme on livestock management in various villages of Mechuka Circle this week.
Organized as part of the initiatives of Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), the awareness programme briefed the villagers about the methods of safe rearing of birds and animals and related diseases. The awareness initiative assumes significance after the outbreak of Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) a few months back which resulted in the death of more than 50 mithuns in Tato Circle of the district. DIPRO
