Indian Army conducts ‘Know Your Army’ outreach
AALO, Mar 11: As part of the International Women’s Day celebration which was observed belatedly in Aalo West Block on Wednesday owing to a students’ bandh on March 8, two vehicles procured under Ajeevika Gramin Express Yojna (AGEY) were flagged off by Chairman, Mother’s Vision and ZPM Yomcha, Jumde Gamlin and Circle Officer Binti Mibang.
The programme was organised by BMMU in collaboration with the Women and Child Development department here at Gumin Kiin. Around 300 women from various SHGs from Aalo West and East Blocks participated with great enthusiasm. Nodal Officer, Covid-19 Awareness Dr. Jumge Padu and In-charge P.D Dukpe Ete were among others who participated in the celebration. The speakers exhorted the womenfolk of the district to know their rights and involve in all walks of life for overall development of society. Group dance, songs and a drama on ‘Beti Bachao- Beti Phadao’ were the highlights of the celebration. Awards and certificates of appreciation were given to the PLFs, SHGs and CRPs for their exemplary role during the pandemic, adherence to Pancha sutras, initiation in social mobilization, credit linkages etc.
Certificates of Appreciation was also conferred to three men who played a pivotal role for the betterment of the SHG mothers. DIPRO
