3rd Bharat Lok Sangeet Arunachal Utsav connects with youth
Koloriang, Mar 26: In a meaningful step to enhance educational access and inspire the youth of Kurung Kumey district, Deputy Commissioner, Cheechung Chukhu inaugurated the “Vande Mataram Aspirants Corner” at the Mini Secretariat here.
Funded by the Deputy Commissioner’s office, the dedicated library and study space commemorates 150 years of the iconic national song Vande Mataram composed by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee in 1875 which has long symbolized national pride, unity, and the spirit of independence.
The Aspirants Corner is designed as a specialized knowledge hub for students and young aspirants of Kurung Kumey District preparing for competitive examinations, including civil services, banking, SSC, and other professional entrances. In a remote district like Kurung Kumey, where quality study resources remain limited, the facility aims to bridge this gap by providing a quiet, focused environment equipped with relevant books, reference materials, and study aids.
Registered students will be able to borrow books, ensuring the library benefits a wide section of learners and promotes sustained use. The initiative seeks to cultivate a strong reading culture, self-discipline, and ambition among the district's youth, encouraging them to excel in public service and diverse careers.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Cheechung Chukhu emphasized the administration's commitment to youth empowerment through education. “This Aspirants Corner is more than a library, it is a symbol of our resolve to equip our young people with the tools to achieve their dreams and contribute to the nation's progress,” he said.
The launch aligns with ongoing efforts by the district administration to foster development and awareness. Such targeted interventions are crucial in interior districts of Arunachal Pradesh, helping bridge educational disparities and igniting hope among the younger generation. The Vande Mataram Aspirants Corner stands as a tribute to India's patriotic heritage while directly supporting the aspirations of Kurung Kumey's future leaders. DIPRO
