LUNGLA, Jul 20: As part of the ongoing efforts of the District Administration to ensure maximum Covid vaccination coverage in rural Tawang, 51 villagers from Sherbang and Gispu villages under Lungla Circle were vaccinated today that included persons who earlier refused the vaccines. 
 A team comprising ADC Lungla Tashi Dhondup, CO Nawang Thutan, DRCHO Dr. Rinchin Neema, DIPRO and health officials conducted the vaccination drive. Besides vaccination, IEC awareness on social distancing, compulsory use of masks and Covid Appropriate Behaviour were given to the villagers in local dialect. All Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of Lungla subdivision have been asked to collect vaccination data of villagers through door-to-door visits, the ADC informed. The DRCHO informed that vaccination coverage target has almost been reached, however, erratic network is delaying uploading of data on Cowin portal.
The team will cover Kungba, Wongla and nearby villages on Wednesday and ZPM Thutan Gombu and other public leaders have assured their support and personal presence during the visit. DIPRO
