ITANAGAR, Sep 15 The All Pakke Kessang District Anti Corruption Students Union (APKDACSU) on Tuesday requested the Minister, Public Works Department to direct the concerned PWD department to complete the construction of the stretch of road from Seijosa to Pakke Kessang.
An amount of Rs 167 crore was sanctioned under NEC to construct the 63km stretch of road from Seijosa to Pakke Kessang in the year 2016, the union said adding that the construction of said road is yet to be completed by the concerned PWD department and is lying in a pathetic condition.
It also pointed out that the blacktopping on the road from Check Gate Seijosa to Jolly under Seijosa subdivision has not yet started, while March 2020 was the last date to finish the work.
Asserting that people are facing immense hardships while commuting through the stretch, the union said that currently people  are dependent on the route via Assam to reach Seijosa.
