ITANAGAR, Jun 10: Arunachal Pradesh Indigenous Tribes Union (APITU) has called for immediate action as per law against persons  encroaching government quarters in the twin capital region.
Speaking to the media at the press club on Friday, President- APITU, Tadar Nilo informed that the union has already submitted its representation to the Chief Minister demanding action against wrongdoers who encroached government quarters.
“It’s a daylight crime and the government should issue Notice against unauthorized occupation or encroachment of government land and  government quarters," he said.
The APITU has also demanded a double-lane road from Papunallah to Jully via Ganga, Itanagar. This road is one of the bypass roads of the twin capital, so it needs proper attention for public convenience, added Tadar. While pressing for more alternative bypasses, the Union has also demanded renovation/construction of  Papunallah to Donyi-Polo via Gompa road, Itanagar.
It further called for renovation and construction of CC Pavement road from NH-415 to Sangay Lhaden Sports Academy, Chimpu, and steps for beautification of Ganga Lake and others.
