ITANAGAR, Sep 13: The All Kurung Kumey District Students Union (AKKDSU) demanded the state government to immediately create and recruit group C and MTS post against various administrative headquarters of Kurung Kumey District.
Addressing mediapersons here today at the Arunachal Press Club, President AKKDSU Tarh Demi said that all the administrative headquarters of the district are facing acute shortage of manpower and have failed to deliver required public services by various departments.
Since 2013, no single post has been created against the Kurung Kumey district. And the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) has conducted examination many times but till date no single staff was sent to the district by the government, he said.
As we all know Kurung Kumey district is one of the remotest and underdeveloped districts of the state and the administrative headquarters in far flung areas of the district has failed to deliver essential public services due to lack of manpower, the union said.
Expressing concern over problems faced by the public of district due to bad road condition and under construction of Trans Arunachal Highway within the district, General Secretary AKKDSU Bapu Bengia appealed the construction agency to complete the Trans Arunachal Highway road construction on time as per DPR by 2022 and also requested the public not to create any disturbance in the road construction work.
He also demanded construction of FCI godown in Kurung Kumey district to sort out the FCI distribution in the district.
