ZIRO, Nov 2: The All Lower Subansiri District Students’ Union (ALSDSU) has appealed to the executing agencies of Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) in Lower Subansiri district to complete the works within schedule without compromising quality.
The union has appealed for an inspection of the 2nd Package of the TAH i.e. Joram-Koloriang road in Yachuli Circle and Package I & II on Potin-Pangin road in Lower Subansiri district. The team also visited the camp office of all the three executing firms and met the technical officers and discussed in detail about the work update and action plans. The representatives urged the executing agencies to meet the completion deadline and maintain quality. “We have suffered a lot previously due to the pathetic condition of this road which serves as the lifeline of people of several districts. The time has come to understand the importance of surface communication which is the need of the hour,” ALSDSU President Lishi Tayo stated in a release.
Tayo underlined that both stretches of the road are equally important for defence and civilian needs. He further appealed to the locals including students and youths to extend support to the executing agencies in completing the works within time.
At the same time, the union has appealed to the Lower Subansiri District Administration to appoint a Magistrate/Nodal officer to oversee the progress of works.
