ITANAGAR, Apr 28: Alleging lackadaisical attitude of the state government, All Kra Daadi District Students Union (AKDDSU) today threatened to call phase-wise district bandh from May 10 next.
The Union is demanding the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) to immediately conduct the pending interview of 41 posts for Kra Daadi, construction of fire station and multipurpose educational counselling centre in the district.
Speaking to reporters at press club today, President AKDDSU, Pakyum Talop said 'Despite repeated representation and memorandums to the concerned authority, the government has failed to respond to our demands which are for the greater interest of the people of Kra Daadi district.' Such irresponsible attitude from the authority has compelled us to call for the democratic movement in the form of the bandh,he added.
Talop further informed that 41 vacancies against different posts was basically for the district and it was advertised in the year 2016 but after the establishment of APSSB it was handed over to the authority so that the same interview would be done by the Board. 'More than three years have passed, till date no interview has been conducted for the said vacant posts,' he claimed adding that many candidates have already crossed the age limit for the said jobs.
Moreover the demand for an establishment of a fire station and a Multipurpose Educational Counselling Centre (Residential) was also an old demand submitted to the Home Minister, claimed the President.
AKDDSU has threatened to call the first phase 12-hour bandh on May 10 next, followed by 24-hr bandh on May 20 next and 48-hr bandh on May 31 next as the third phase.
