ITANAGAR, Jan 24: The All Arunachal Unemployed Civil Engineer’s Association (AAUCEA) on Monday served a 30 days ultimatum to the state government to cancel all “officiating” and “out-of-turn” cases in various engineering departments.
Speaking to reporters here at the Press Club today, Spokesperson Ajit Singhi informed that on 10th February 2016, the then governor JP Rajkhowa, issued an order to cancel all officiating/functional appointments and the promotions made out-of-turn and to ensure posting as per inter –seniority basis, but till today no action has been initiated.
"There are hundreds of engineers in various departments who are in officiating or functional appointments and promotion ‘out-of-turn’ or in ‘dual charge' which has deprived the unemployed engineers from suitable engineering jobs," he added.
Association also demanded the state government to adhere to the office memorandum (OM) of Governor’s 10th February 2016 notification that in exceptional circumstances, any officiating or functioning arrangement is required to be made that too for a very short period purely in public interest, the same may be considered only as an exception, for which written approval from the chief secretary has to be obtained on file in advance.
