Itanagar, Oct 2: Arunachal Pradesh on Friday reported two more deaths due to Covid-19 pushing the death toll to 18.
A 54-year-old (Non APST) serving as Sub-Inspector in SSB, Bomdila, West Kameng suffering from severe breathlessness at general hospital Bomdila since admission on September 30, was referred to Tezpur Medical College where he tested positive for Covid-19. Against medical advice, the patient in critical condition at his own risk hired a private ambulance and travelled alone to his hometown Namsai for home isolation. The patient in unconscious state was brought to CCC Namsai by relatives on October 1, where he died shortly.
In the second case, a 51-year-old (Non APST) working in the BRTF in Upper Siang was admitted to DCH Pasighat who was then referred to AMCH Dibrugarh on September 16 as his condition deteriorated. He passed away on September 30.
The state today reported 200 fresh positive cases with 87 reported from the Itanagar Capital Complex. A total 134 patients recovered.
