PASIGHAT, Oct 11: Two people including a two-year-old were severely injured when a Pasighat bound Tata Sumo from Aalo with nine passengers skidded off the road near Rottung, 11 km off Pasighat on Saturday evening.
An employee of Aalo Ramakrishna Mission and a two-year-old boy received severe injuries in the accident while others sustained injuries not serious in nature. All were immediately admitted to the Bakin Pertin General Hospital (BPGH), Pasighat for medical treatment on Saturday evening. 
Later on Sunday morning, badly injured Monoranjan Jana was immediately shifted to Peerless Hospital, Kolkata for special medical treatment. According to family source, ‘debridement’ has been completed today and plastic surgery will be carried out by specialists on Tuesday morning at Kolkata. It is also reported that condition of injured two-year-old boy SS Jana is also critical and his parents will fly from Pasighat to Kolkata tomorrow for further treatment at Kolkata Sisu-Mongol hospital. 
Police team visited and interacted with the admitted passengers at BPGH and a case in this regard has been registered at Pasighat police station on Saturday evening and further investigation has been initiated with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, East Siang Unit AAPPTF President and Gen. Secy Tabiram Moyong and David Lego respectively along with January Melong, President and Oson Panyang, Gen. Secy. AESC&DU rushed to BPGH and met the affected members/passengers and extended generous support by providing accommodation, food and financial assistance for medicines, vehicle fares etc with an assurance to provide all possible help and cooperation from the associations. At the same time Moyong asked all the private vehicle owners and drivers to carry all valid documents including vehicle fitness certificate, driving license, road tax clearance, insurance etc while on road.
