SEIJOSA, Mar 19: In a significant breakthrough, the Seijosa Police have arrested two individuals accused of orchestrating a large-scale fraud related to the postal department. The accused, identified as Gona Kanta Hazarika and Umesh Hazarika, were taken into custody following a meticulous investigation.
The operation was carried out by a police team led by SI Sang Thinley (OC, PS Seijosa), SI Duyu Talley, and Constable M. Ete, under the supervision of DySP Sashi Dore (SDPO, Seijosa). The case was registered under Sections 316(4), 318(4), 115(2), and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) on 14 August 2024.
