NAHARLAGUN,Apr 12: In a determined effort to crack down on illegal activities, the Papu Hills Police on Saturday apprehended two individuals involved in organising unauthorized gambling at the busy Saturday Market area.
Acting on credible information, a police team from Papu Hills Police Station carried out a swift raid, successfully disrupting the illegal gambling operation. During the operation, officers seized gambling materials from the possession of the accused.
A case has been registered at Papu Hills Police Station under the relevant provisions of the Arunachal Pradesh Gambling Act. Police officials have reiterated their commitment to curbing such unlawful activities and maintaining law and order in the region, stated a release.
