Wakro, Dec 20: As part of its welfare measure towards the elderly, Anu Shiksha Seva Trust extended aid to a retired employee facing financial hardship.
Rajesh Chandra, Commander of 752 Border Roads Task Force gave away a cheque of Rupees 12000 as financial assistance to SP Acharya as part of Beena Ghose Roy Scheme of the ASSET in a ceremony in BGR Enclave today. Acharya had served as casual labourer in the state power department for 27 years. Now out of job for past nine months, he is facing hardship to support a large family.
This is the third welfare measure especially for elders taken up by the ASSET in admiration and gratitude towards a general officer of the Indian Army for the sterling leadership, care and encouraging support for social welfare.  The commander appreciated ASSET and said that all must be willing to participate and support initiatives of welfare. He further said that the Border Roads Organization is committed to development of border areas and will not be found wanting in any manner in service of the nation.
Tamo Riba, EAC, Inspector Thomas Pertin, OC, Wakro PS were present among others.
