ITANAGAR, Aug 17: Health Minister Alo Libang , Secretary  Health P Parthiban visited  the  Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) to ensure its preparedness before resumption of normal functioning after segregation of the COVID ward.
"TRIHMS has been sanitized after segregation of COVID hospital. All the patients have been shifted to extended Dedicated COVID Hospital at MLA Apartments, Chimpu or in Dedicated COVID Health Center (DCHC) Midpu according to their health conditions," Libang told reporters.
Minister said that TRIHMS will resume normal functions as per hospital protocol.
“We have sanitized the hospital and all functions will resume from Tuesday," he said while adding that  during the last few months denizens had to face few problems after converting TRIHMS into Dedicated COVID Hospital for time being but now the hospital is COVID free and the public can avail all its facilities.
Director TRIHMS Dr Moji Jini extended gratitude to all for extending support during the last few months and also converting the MLA Apartments into a dedicated facility.  He also informed about modern facilities at TRIHMS such as Special New Born Care Unit (SNUC) and ICU facilities. “At present we have 1kg newborn baby at the SNUC, and our team is taking proper care of the baby. 
Earlier we had no such facilities due to which doctors faced challenges in saving lives."
Besides there are many other facilities in the pipeline such as separate Emergency & Trauma  Center, MRI machines and others, added Dr. Jini.
He further  appealed to the public visiting the hospital to maintain hygiene and avoid spitting on walls and littering the premises.
