Naharlagun, Feb 16:  The 5th Foundation Day cum Induction programme for the fourth batch of MBBS students was conducted here at Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences. With the introduction of 4th batch students, the strength of the medical college has gone up to 200 students with each batch comprising of 50 students.
The occasion was graced by Prof. Sumpam Tangjang. Dept of Botany, RGU , Doimukh, Dr. Bomi Riba, Additional Director, DME , Dr. Moji Jini, Director TRIHMS, Dr. Ashok Dethe, Dean and Principal TRIHMS, Dr. Dukhum Raina, CMS TRIHMS Hospital, HoDs of All Department of TRIHMS, parents of new batch MBBS students and senior batch MBBS students.
Director, TRIHMS in his speech inspired the students to be a good human being and how to transform themselves into a “Good Doctor”. 
So as to promote student welfare, a “mentorship programme” was introduced with the aim to guide the students till they graduate. 
 The Foundation Day concluded with the finals of TRIHMS Badminton Tournament and Prize distribution ceremony.
