BOMDILA, Feb 1: As part of official routine inspection, Accounts and Treasuries Director Tedi Techi accompanied by Finance & Account Officer (FA&O) Taniyang Tatung today visited the Treasury Office (TO) here. 
After checking various files and records, the Director urged the Treasury Officer to maintain proper records of all files and documents with special emphasis on maintenance of the strong room. Referring to the National Pension Scheme (NPS) which was started in 2008, he expressed concern over the fact that many government employees have still not opened their NPS accounts. The FA&O briefed the complete procedure of filling NPS forms to the staff. It has come to light that within Bomdila Division, 27 subscribers under PPAN and 42 subscribers under Non-IRA schemes of the NPS are yet to submit their complete details due of which they are failing to get their Permanent Retirement Account Numbers (PRANs) from National Securities Depository Ltd. (NSDL).
The TO was urged to take necessary steps to complete the above pending formalities at the earliest to avoid post-retirement financial complicacies of retired staff. DIPRO
