PASIGHAT, Mar 17: A 3-day training programme on ‘Good Agricultural & Collection Practices for Medicinal & Aromatic Plants’ was organised here at the College of Horticulture & Forestry (CHF) on March 12-14 last.
The training was a collaborative attempt of the ICAR-Directorate of Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Research, Boriavi, Anand, Gujarat and the CHF.
Chief Guest, Dean of CHF, Professor B. N. Hazarika gave a brief outline on the potentiality of Arunachal Pradesh for cultivation of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAPs).
During the training, 15 Resource Persons interacted with the farmers.
As a part of the training, 100 sprayers and 100 grain storage trunks were also distributed to the farmers who came from different villages of East Siang district.
