ZIRO, Mar 7: Deputy Commissioner Lower Subansiri, Somcha Lowang inaugurated the training programme on Innovation and livestock entrepreneur development for farmers at Ziro today.
The training organized by District Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Office, Ziro under RKVY-RAFTAAR (Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana – Remunerative Approaches for Agriculture and Allied Sectors Rejuvenation) saw attendance from more than 100 farmers, entrepreneurs and SHGs from Ziro-I and Ziro-II blocks.
Addressing the farmers, DC Somcha Lowang advised them to utilise the opportunity to learn and create sustainable livelihoods through livestock entrepreneurship.
District Veterinary Officer Dr. Hano Tama briefed about the training. He informed that Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana – Remunerative Approaches for Agriculture and Allied Sectors Rejuvenation (RKVY-RAFTAAR) is a flagship scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare (MoA&FW). It is aimed at strengthening infrastructure in Agriculture and Allied sectors by building Agripreneurship & Agri-Business ecosystem in the country, facilitating financial aid to potential Agristartups and nurturing a system of business incubation.
Later in the technical sessions experts Dr.Kime Gyati, Dr.Lige Basar, Dr.Taga Nalo and Dr.Bamin Rillung educated the farmers on deep litter system of pig farming, goat farming, dairy Farming, poultry farming and Innovations and Livestock Entrepreneur Development.
