ZIRO, Jun 28:A two day training program for fish farmers was inaugurated by DHO Komri Murtem at Regional High Altitude Fish Seed Farm at Tarin today.
The DHO exhorted the farmers to avail the opportunity to learn about accurate fish farming, which can become a sustainable economic activity. He highlighted the Standup India scheme initiated by the Centre to encourage entrepreneurs, and advised the trainee farmers to avail loans under the scheme to develop fisheries that would supplement the demand outside Ziro.
More than 20 farmers from Raga, Ziro, Yachuli and Yazali are attending the training program.
