YUPIA, Jul 2: The Papumpare administration today has stop traffic movement through Papu-Yupia-Hoj-Potin Trans-Highway between 5pm to 9am to prevent any untoward incident and has urged the public to cooperate with the administration.

This is a precautionary measure, following heavy landslides at multiple points on this stretch on Saturday following incessant rainfall.

Some of the major block points are 18 Km (Kan Nallah), 37KM (Kala Mitti), 38Km (Near Yabi Village), 39.300Km (Jharna Point) and 40 KM (Crusher Point). Many vehicles are stranded on both sides due to the blockade since Saturday.

Meanwhile, a team today led by In-charge Deputy Commissioner Mabi Taipodia visited various places affected by floods, landslides due to heavy rainfall. Restoration works are in full swing by M/s TK Engineering under the supervision of Doimukh Highway Division.
