Roing, May 25: Principal Secretary (Agriculture Production) Sandeep Kumar and Commissioner (Agriculture) Bidol Tayeng, on a two-day field visit to Lower Dibang Valley, flagged off 38 tractors under the Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojana (ANKY) Scheme, a state sponsored credit linked subsidy scheme to boost agriculture sector and double farmers’ income. ZPC Tony Borang, SP James Kabang Lego, ADC Mamta Yadav and HoDs were also present.
The team visited 3F oil palm factory site and plantation including horticultural farms.
The Principal Secretary and Commissioner interacted with progressive farmers who shared various innovative practices they are adopting to modernise agriculture and horticulture to increase yield and improve profits.
DAO Balung Megu, DHO Kuru Ama, DVO Dr. B. Mimi, ADOs, HDOs and other staff members accompanied the dignitaries during their visit.
