ITANAGAR, Sep 30: Director, Trade & Commerce, Tokong Pertin today retired on superannuation after serving the state for 34 years and as Director of Trade and Commerce for more than 16 years.
The Department of Trade & Commerce organized a farewell meeting for Pertin, today at Pare Hall, D.K. State Convention Centre, Itanagar which was also attended by all the Directors and senior officers of Industries, Textiles and Handicrafts and Skill Development.
Tokong Pertin started his career on 27 February 1987 as DIPRO in the IPR Department and was posted at Khonsa. Later on he was again appointed as Assistant Director of Industries, in the Industries Department in 1988 and promoted to the post of Deputy Director, Industries.
When the Textiles and Handicrafts Department was bifurcated from Industries Department, Pertin was transferred to Textiles and Handicrafts Department in 2000 on permanent absorption. He got promotion to the post of Joint Director of Textiles and Handicrafts on 24th December, 2001.
He was also Ex-officio Director of Trade & Commerce before becoming the regular Director of Trade & Commerce in 22 May 2007 till his retirement today.
