ITANAGAR, Aug 9: In a significant development, the National Investigating Agency (NIA) which is investigating the assassination case of former Minister and NPP MLA Khonsa (West), Tirong Aboh and 10 others has released the posters of six NSCN cadres alleged involved in executing the crime.
Releasing the posters, NIA has also announced reward for informer from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 2 lakh against the six militants in connection with the Case No RC 03/2019/NIA/GUW(09.4.2019).
The posters carry information of self-styled Lt Col Apem, a resident of Tizit in Nagaland; self-styled Captain Ellie Ketok, a resident of Kheti village under Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh; self-styled ‘Kilonser’ Ravi Wangno, a resident of Dadam village under Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh; self-styled Major General Absolon Tangkhul, a resident of Phatang village under Ukhrul district of Manipur; and self-styled Captain Victor Tangkhul, a resident of Ukhrul district of Manipur and SS James Kiwang, a resident of Hasik village, under Sagaing, Myanmar.
The posters also announce cash rewards ranging from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 3 lakh for those providing information leading to the arrest of the accused.
When contacted, Superintendent of Police, Khonsa, confirmed that the posters has been released by the NIA. Further, the Police Headquarters (PHQ) here in the state capital also confirmed that the posters have been released by the National Investigating Agency.
Former Minister and NPP MLA Tirong Aboh along with 10 Others were assassinated by suspected NSCN militants near Bogapani area of Tirap District on May 21 last.
The state government on June 2 last in its first cabinet meeting has recommended the case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
