Khonsa, Aug 28: As a part of the Student Police Cadet initiative and to encourage the students of Tirap district, the district police on Thursday rewarded the toppers of Classes XII and X from among the APST domiciles of the district in a formal felicitation function here at SP office.
Ngongsong Ngongwa and Deansen Aran were the recipients of the reward for Class XII and X respectively consisting of a certificate of merit along with cash awards of Rs 25,000 and Rs.20,000 which were handed over by SP Kardak Riba. Congratulating the awardees, he urged the students of the district to take inspiration from them. It can be recalled that in November last year, the SP while attending the Chalo Loku celebration held at Nehru stadium announced to reward the toppers in CBSE/AISSCE of the district.
DSP Khewang Khetey, Advocates Gulley Sumnyan and John Matey, parents of the awardees and officers of the district police were present on the occasion. DIPRO
