ITANAGAR, Oct 11: The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), has taken Suo moto cognizance of the death of three minors due to  drowning in a 9 feet deep pit dug for culvert construction by SKS infra projects Ltd at Longo village in Tirap district on Saturday.
The NCPCR has written to the Deputy Commissioner Tirap for setting up a committee under his chairmanship consisting members like DMO, SP, Magistrate not below the rank of EAC, DCPO,  Representatives from Panchayat and CBOs.  The committee may submit its report within 10 days.   A factual report, along with authenticated copies of the relevant documents may be sent to the commission within 10 days of issuance of this letter, the letter signed by Member NCPCR, Rosy Taba stated.
