KHONSA, Mar 24: District Planning Committee (PR), Tirap convened a meeting in connection with approval and finalization of the comprehensive Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) 2021-22 here at the Kamlesh Joshi Conference Hall of DC’s office on Tuesday.
Chaired by DC Taro Mize, the meeting discussed the approved plans submitted by the member secretaries of 69 gram panchayats in the district prepared as part of the People’s Plan Campaign (PPC)-2020 which now awaits final approval from the District Planning Committee (DPC) for uploading in Plan Plus. DPDO-cum-ADC Kretkam Tikhak suggested the members to scrutinize the proposals and rectify, if necessary before final approval. Chairman, DPC (PR)-cum-DC informed that the purpose of the GPDP is to prepare an evidence-based holistic and inclusive Gram Panchayat Development Plan which requires a participatory process covering the schemes of all line departments coming under purview of 29 subjects listed in Schedule XI of the Constitution.
Chairperson, Zilla Parishad Chathong Lowang, PD (DRDA) and EAC Hakresha Kri, District Nodal Officer-cum-District Facilitator Er. Makba Nasi and member secretaries of all ZP Blocks were among others who attended the meeting. DIPRO
