KHONSA, Jun 1: District Task Force for Immunization, Tirap today convened a meeting here under chairmanship of DC Taro Mize for reviewing the district’s Routine Immunization (RI) performance during FY 2020-21 and discussing strategies for improving Covishield vaccination coverage.
DRCHO Dr Nidak Angu through a PPT on Tirap’s Covid-19 vaccination status presented the plan and way forward for inoculating the unvaccinated 45+ citizens w.e.f. June 1. Dr Angu  also informed that as on May 31, 7705 beneficiaries were registered, 6189 have been administered with the 1st dose,  2333 with the 2nd dose (total  8522  doses) and 1516 beneficiaries are still left to be vaccinated. The DC appealed to the facility in-charges, ASHAs/AWWs/PRIs/GBs/Chiefs and religious leaders to help the elderly persons and mobilize intensive village-wise vaccination sessions till June 15. Household surveys will be carried out in every village/area and line  listing of all 45+ beneficiaries will be conducted to improve vaccination coverage in the district, he informed. DMO Dr N. Lowang highlighted the importance of the meeting. ZPC Chathong Lowang assured full cooperation from the PRIs for successful coverage of Covid vaccination in village areas.
The meeting was attended by SDO Deomali Akan Regon, DD (WCD), CDPO Khonsa and Circle Officers of all Administrative Circles. DIPRO
