KHONSA, Jun 6: The Tirap District Administration in collaboration with all frontline workers carried out mass covid vaccination drive in all seven Administrative circles- Khonsa, Deomali, Lazu, Dadam, Borduria, Soha and Bari-Basip. During the massive vaccination drive, Employment Certificate were issued to all the Panchayat members by the respective administrative officers to enable them to avail the Covid vaccine.
In view of increasing Covid positive cases in the Deomali area and in some parts in the Khonsa town,  Tirap Deputy Commissioner Taro Mize directed all the Administrative Officers of the seven circles to carry out door to door Covid vaccination drive and convince the people living in rural areas to come forward for vaccination. All Frontline workers will have  to counter the fake messages being circulating in social media, the DC said.
All the Panchayat members headed by ZPC Chathong Lowang, ZPMs and GPCs assured full participation as Frontline workers to fight against the pandemic. 
Chairperson Nocte Mother’s Federation and Secretary Nocte Women Association, Nilom Wangsu also assured to coordinate with Frontline warriors in connection with Covid vaccination roll out campaign and Covid Standard Operating Procedure guidelines at the grassroot level. In accordance with DC’s directives, DMO Dr. N. Lowang, convened an emergency meeting in connection with procurement of logistics & medicines for Home Isolation & CCC at District Control Room,General Hospital, Khonsa which was attended by health officials.

The DMO informed that distribution of logistics & medicines to Home Isolation persons and CCC will start from June 7,  adding that new roster for Flu OPD/Triage centre will be prepared.
