PASIGHAT, Jul 26: Three school students of JNV, Geku in Upper Siang studying in Class IX, reportedly drowned in the River Siang while swimming this afternoon. The incident occurred when a group of seven students had gone swimming. The Upper Siang district administration has alerted villages along the banks of the Siang to help in the Search Operation and also alerted the Deputy Commissioners of Siang and East Siang to help retrieve the bodies. NDRF team has been also pressed into services. The boys belong to the Pertin, Borang and Lipir Clans of the Adi Community. DIPRO
