LONGDING, Aug 16: In a tragic incident, three people including a minor were found dead at Forest Colony, Longding today.
When contacted, Officer In-charge, Longding Police station informed that a man identified as one Malem Pansa (60) was found hanging and a woman identified as T Pansa (35) his daughter-in-law and 2-year- old granddaughter were found dead inside their home.
"The incident might have occurred in the wee hours between 12 to 1 am on August 16. We have recovered a local machete with blood on it and other evidence from the incident scene. Late Pansa was found hanging, however his daughter-in-law and granddaughter have grievous injuries probably from a machete," informed the OC.
At the moment, we cannot comment that what actually happened, however, FIR has been lodged U/S 302. A postmortem has been done and all the evidence has been sealed to be sent for FSL, informed the officer while adding that the deceased’s husband is working with Assam Rifles was at his place of duty.
