PASIGHAT, Mar 24:  Three day Integrated Health Information Platform (IHIP) training cum workshop has began here  in East Siang District Pasighat for Medical Officers, DEOs, HWOs, Pharmacists, ANMs, and Rapid Response Team members of all Health Care Delivery Centres of East Siang District.
Dr. Kaling Dai, DMO informed the participating health care staff that the new GOI health care initiative which is termed as IHIP is a path breaking disease surveillance project. He also informed that IHIP will be a better project than IDSP which was weekly reporting on 16 diseases only but IHIP will cover more than 33 diseases. The DMO directed the MO In-charges to take up the IHIP project in letter and spirit to cause no delay in disease surveillance, data collection and reporting. He emphasized to undergo the hands-on digital training with positivity and sincerity to learn maximum possible.
Dr. Tarik Talom, District Surveillance Officer, the facilitator stated that the IHIP is going to be a game changer to provide near real-time health data to policy makers. Dr. Talom while making a PowerPoint presentation on IDSP and IHIP informed that the IHIP will enable to detect early warning signal and any outbreak thereby reduce morbidity and mortality, latest technologies, analytical tools application, GIS enable graphical representation of health datas, data integration of all health programmes, Geo tagging of all reporting health facilities and will be accessible to all levels from centre to villages.
 Olom Pertin, Data Manager and Epidemiologist imparted hands-on elaborate training on digitization on S forms, P forms, L forms and Event alert, a release issued from District Surveillance Officer informed. DIPRO
