TEZU, May 23: Lohit police apprehended three persons and recovered suspected contraband substances weighing 25 grams and cash from their possession.
Acting on a tip-off, the Lohit Police Anti-Drug Squad led by deputy inspector Maga Tago waylaid at Gohain Gaon and intercepted the car in which the three suspected drug peddlers from Mahadevpur were traveling to Tezu to sell the contraband.
The accused have been identified as Alimo Keche (28), Anodi Keche (19), and  Ram Das (37).
Police have registered case under NDPS Act against the trio while investigation is underway.
