TEZU, Aug 17: Expressing concern over the cash-for-job viral audio which carries a hint of scam in the recently concluded Nursing Officers recruitment under NHM at Tezu and demanding an enquiry, the local denizens have lodged an FIR at Tezu Police Station and simultaneously the All Mishmi Students’ Union (AMSU) has submitted a memorandum to the Lohit Deputy Commissioner who is also the Chairman of the District Health Society.
“Reacting to the viral cash-for-job audio we have submitted a memorandum to DC Lohit seeking his prompt action to unearth the truth and exemplary punishment to the person(s) involved in the scandal,” General Secretary AMSU Chokhiya Tayang said. The union has sought a magisterial inquiry, suspension of DRCHO Tezu (Lohit) for a free and fair investigation and cancellation of Arunachal Pradesh Nursing Council Registration of those candidates who purportedly paid bribes. Elaborating on the FIR, a local denizen Sinaso Krowa informed that he has lodged an FIR at Tezu PS demanding a thorough investigation. “Such  practice always deprives genuine candidate,” he added.
Responding to a query on the development, Minister for Health & Family Welfare Alo Libang informed that he has already directed an inquiry on the viral audio.  “Since day one, we have endorsed for free and fair recruitment processes and we stick to our stand,” Libang asserted, assuring stern action against anyone found guilty.
Meanwhile, the Special Investigation Cell (SIC) led by Superintendent of Police M Harsha Vardhan took suo motu action over the audio clip and registered a case today at PS SIC (Vig.) vide FIR No. 18/20 u/s 1208 IPC and Sections 7,8,13(1)(c),13(1)(d) and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
