NAMSAI, May 20:  Namsai District Administration in collaboration with the Health Department today launched the ‘Test and Trace’ campaign here in the headquarters to add edge to the ongoing fight against COVID-19.
“The campaign is an effort to ensure early testing to detect probable COVID positive cases in certain population groups,” Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Namsai Dr Anupam Wailong informed, adding that it is in conformity with the government’s Test-Track-Treat-Vaccinate strategy which aims to ensure effective containment of the virus in the district. During the campaign business communities of the township will have to go for RAT in a phase-wise manner for three days from May 20-22 next.
After covering areas like Old Market/daily bazar on May 20, RAT will be extended to Medical/Namsai Tinali Market on May 21 and then in the 2nd Mile area on May 22, Dr Wailong informed.
