ITANAGAR, Sep 4: Secretary Education, Madhu Rani Teotia while appreciating the activities of the All Arunachal Private School Association (AAPSA) called upon the organization for greater participation with the Department of Education in strengthening and enriching the educational scenario of the State.
She was speaking at the AAPSA-Sahodaya Teachers’ Day celebrations here at Tadar Taniang Hall, Don Bosco Youth Centre.
Speaking about government and private schools, Teotia said “Let us learn from each other,” and added that a great deal can be learnt through mutual interaction of teachers and principals.  She also spoke of the government school principals’ seminar coming up towards the end of the month, in which AAPSA will be presenting a panel of principals to disseminate knowledge of “the best practices in private schools” and allied matters. 
The Secretary also promised that as in the previous year, two private school teachers will also be receiving the State Award for teachers on the Teachers’ Day celebrations to be hosted by the government.
Earlier while welcoming the guests, Techi James, Presdient, AAPSA expressed great satisfaction over the way the partnership between government and private schools have grown.  Fr. Joshua Gangmei, Vice President of AAPSA in his vote of thanks appreciated the tireless efforts that Madhu Rani Teotia has put in and the proactive approach she follows with private schools.  He also congratulated the Teacher of the Year Award winners of  various schools present and exhorted the principals for greater collaboration and cooperation.
Teacher of the Year Awards were presented to the teachers and students from selected schools performed cultural items to honor the teachers.  In all 261 teachers and a large number of students from private schools of the Capital Complex, including Banderdewa and Doimukh took part. Newsdesk
