MIAO, Feb 11: A team of officers from Falta Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Kolkata under Ministry of Commerce inspected industrial land at Balingnong Miao in Changlang District for the establishment of a Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
The team was led by Dr.B.K Panda -Zonal Development Commissioner, M.K Anjanaiah -Dy. Development Commissioner, and P.K Panda- Assistant Development Commissioner. Delegates from the state government was led by Secretary, Industries and Trade & Commerce , Hage Tari among others.
After visiting the site, the team expressed their satisfaction and assured that the matter will be placed before the Board under the Ministry of Commerce Govt. of India for approval. A joint inspection report was also signed during the visit. The joint inspection team expressed that setting up of a Special Economic Zone at Changlang District will have many advantages and boost the economy of the region since it is located nearby Pangsau Pass on the Indo-Myanmar border.
