Itanagar, Sep 28: The All Arunachal Private Schools’ Association (AAPSA) organized a one day ‘Teachers’ Effectiveness Training’ where seventy four teachers from various schools of Capital Complex including Doimukh participated.
The training was an initiative of AAPSA in collaboration with Don Bosco Youth Centre with Fr. Thomas Vattathara SDB, a Havard Graduate in Human Resource Development and a renowned educationalist presently based at Delhi playing the role of Resource Person. Speaking at the inaugural function, Vice President of AAPSA Fr. Joshua Gangmei called upon the teachers to be ‘learning teachers’ who are willing to change and improve their skills. The training having input sessions with motivational content and group activities, focused on the changing educational scenario highlighting the need for greater responsibility of the teachers to bring out creativity of students through innovative education. Speaking about the necessity to leave one’s comfort zone, Fr. Thomas added that AAPSA teachers should set benchmarks in education through child-centric approach and innovative teaching. Presenting various relevant statistics and research findings he also exhorted the teachers to CREATE and not REACT and congratulated AAPSA for the concept of bringing the state's private schools on a single platform.
