PASIGHAT, Oct 24:  In a formal ceremony held at Community Health Centre, Mebo, an ambulance meant for Primary Health Centre, Borguli was flagged off by Lombo Tayeng, MLA Mebo cum Advisor to Chief Minister today in the presence of District Medical Officer, Dr. Mandip Perme among others.

Tayeng appealed for proper use of the ambulance which is meant for patients and people in and around PHC Borguli which has been functioning without a proper ambulance service causing untold miseries to poor patients. He said that, toll free number and GPS tracking system has also been installed in the ambulance which will be easier for the concern authorities or agency to monitor the movement of the ambulance besides easy access for patients with toll free number.

He also said that ambulance for CHC, Mebo is also likely to be approved by March next year as he has already received assurance from the Health Minister in this regard.

Meanwhile, taking the opportunity, Dr. Mandip Perme, DMO, East Siang urged the public to participate in the Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) vaccine outreach programme which aims to vaccinate babies between 0-2 years which will begin again from 7th November next.
